Lint filter — before every load

Where to find it

The lint filter is located inside the dryer door opening, on the lower front lip of the drum. It slides straight in and out.

How to clean it

1. Open the dryer door.
2. Pull the lint filter straight out by its tab or handle.
3. Peel the accumulated lint off with your hand — it typically comes away in a single sheet. Dispose of it in the trash.
4. Slide the filter firmly back into its slot until it is fully seated.

The filter should be cleaned even if the previous load was small or the dryer was barely used. Lint builds up quickly and even a thin layer reduces airflow and efficiency.

Loading the dryer

1. Shake out each item before placing it in the drum. This reduces tangling, speeds drying, and cuts down on wrinkles.
2. Do not overfill. Clothes need room to tumble to dry evenly — fill the drum no more than three-quarters full.
3. Check care labels before loading. The following should not go in the dryer:
   • Items labeled "lay flat to dry," "reshape and dry flat," or "dry clean only"
   • Wool, cashmere, or delicate knits
   • Items with rubber backing, foam, or heat-sensitive embellishments
   • Anything still heavily wet from hand-washing — wring it out first
4. Close the door firmly.

Selecting a cycle

Sensor Dry (recommended)

The dryer monitors moisture levels in the drum and stops automatically when the selected dryness level is reached. This is the best option for most loads — it prevents over-drying, which wears out fabric and increases static. Select a dryness level (Normal Dry, More Dry, or Less Dry) and press Start.

Normal / Casual

Medium heat for everyday cottons, mixed fabrics, and casual wear.

Towels

Higher heat for heavy cotton towels, bathrobes, and bedding. These items hold moisture and need sustained heat to dry fully.

Delicates

Low heat for lightweight fabrics, synthetics, and anything that can be damaged by high heat. When in doubt, use this setting.

Air Fluff

Tumbles clothes with room-temperature air — no heat. Good for freshening items that do not need drying, or for items that cannot tolerate any heat (check the care label for the "no heat" or "tumble dry no heat" symbol).

Timed Dry

Runs for a fixed time you select. Useful for a single item or when you want direct control over drying time. Use lower heat settings for shorter times.

After every load — lint filter again

• Remove clothes promptly when the cycle ends. Leaving clothes in a warm drum causes wrinkles and, over time, odor.
• Pull out the lint filter, peel away the lint, and slide it back in.
• Leave the dryer door ajar briefly to let the drum air out.

Troubleshooting

Clothes still damp after a full cycle

Check the lint filter first — even a partially clogged filter significantly reduces drying performance. Also confirm the load was not overfilled. If the filter is clean and the load size is reasonable, the exhaust vent may be restricted; please let us know.

Dryer runs but produces no heat

Electric dryers run on a 240V double-pole circuit breaker. If one leg of the breaker trips, the drum may still turn but no heat will be produced. Check the breaker panel and reset both poles if either has tripped. If the problem continues after resetting, contact us.

Dryer is unusually hot on the outside

Stop using the dryer and contact us. This can indicate a blocked exhaust vent, which is a fire hazard.

Excessive static

Over-drying is the most common cause. Try a Sensor Dry cycle instead of Timed Dry, or reduce the timed dry duration. A dryer sheet also helps.

Clothes come out wrinkled

Remove clothes as soon as the cycle ends. If you cannot get to them immediately, run a short Air Fluff cycle to loosen the wrinkles.
